Some things grow brighter
when we share them.
Founded by Anaaya Mittal, Shared Light Foundation grew from a love of the sitar and a desire to introduce more people to Indian classical music. After ten years of learning and playing, Anaaya wanted to help create opportunities for others to experience this tradition together.
Through concerts and shared listening, we hope to bring people closer to the music, to its artists, and to one another. Our work begins with music and the possibility of connection it opens.
On October 18, 2026, a concert at MIT’s Thomas Tull Concert Hall brought that spirit to life. Presented by MITHAS and LearnQuest, with support from Anaaya Mittal, the performance featured Arjun Verma on sitar and Indranil Mallick on tabla.
